Jane Hu is a Humanities Society of Fellows postdoctoral candidate at the University of Southern California and will begin as an assistant professor in the Department of English in 2024. She received her Ph.D. in English literature (with a designated emphasis in Film & Media) from UC Berkeley in 2022, and her B.A. and M.A. in English from McGill University. 

Her scholarship has been published in Verge: Studies in Global Asias, Modern Language StudiesTextual Practice, Victorian Studies, Modernism/modernity Print+, and Post45.

Her cultural criticism has appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, The New York Review of Books, Bookforum, The Nation, Harper'sThe Ringer, and The Awl, among other places.
